Musings from a Displaced Detroiter

Pop en soo

Some Korean concoction of shaved ice, fruit, and red bean paste.

The tent

The things we buy to amuse our children for 15 minutes

Camping, not really

This is as close to camping as my family will ever get.

Korean delights

You wouldn't know that this is in the US, but this is Santa Clara. They should call this part of town: Little Seoul.

The Mochi Monster

Tobang rules

The plethora of meat was amazing. No one could fit the fried rice in the tummy, except Joanna.

One bite each

So she bit into each slice once. The second bite on the middle piece was me. What am I going to do with this kid?

Isabella enjoying Sonoma

I think Isabella might like out here better than we do.

Some videos of Isabella showing some attitude

Sorry about the last post.  I forgot to make the video public.

Here's Isabella showing how she can move her hips, Shakira style (I'm extremely concerned):

And, then, a couple hours later, she had her first corn on the cob.  (I was about to eat it and she signaled that she wanted the cob instead of the corn I had carefully cut off the cob and placed on her plate.)

Leopold's Bros makes it to Costco

For those of you not from A2, Leopold's made award-winning spirits and some decent beer. They moved to Colorado thanks to some landlord jacking up their rent and their being fed up with Michigan liquor laws. Looks like they have made it big to have their stuff at Costco.

I'd like to thank the Michigan governor and legislature for chasing a successful small business out of Michigan to Colorado where they could become even more successful.

Good job.
